Water Tank Installations

SOS are currently assisting the informal community of Bloekombos, which is located in Kraaifontein, Cape Town. This community comprises shack dwellings, housing approximately 50,000 residents.

Sanitary Wear Project

There are 7 000 000 girls in South Africa between the ages of 13 and 19. This is the school going age of menstruating girls. Statistics show that 4 000 000 of these girls do not have regular access to sanitary products.

Many of the current Ablution facilities are in dire need of an upgrade. Broken toilets, ripped out and stolen urinals (for scrap metal), broken and leaking sinks, toilet doors missing, and damp contribute to a horror image of many school ablutions.
